Red Velvet Cupcakes

Luxurious Red Velvet Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting. Dresses up any Valentines, Christmas or “just because” occasion. Red Velvet is a tradition and a stable food for people “from the South” in the states. However there was a rebirth in the popularity of this cake is partly attributed to the 1989 film Steel Magnolias (one of my favorite movies) which featured a red velvet groom’s cake made in the shape of an armadillo with gray icing. A bit over the top, but again it is “the south”.
